AdMob, Google's mobile advertising platform, maintains strict policies to ensure a safe and effective environment for both advertisers and users. If these policies are violated, AdMob can suspend or even terminate an account.
Here are a few reasons why AdMob may suspend your account, along with actions you can take in response:
- Invalid Traffic: This is a significant policy that aims to
protect advertisers from fraudulent activities. Invalid traffic includes any
clicks or impressions that may artificially inflate an advertiser's costs or a
publisher's earnings. Examples can be repetitive, rapid clicking on ads or using
automated systems to increase impressions.
If your account was suspended for invalid traffic, review your app's traffic patterns for any irregularities. If you can't identify any issues, you may appeal the suspension directly with AdMob. - Content Violations: AdMob has guidelines regarding the content
where ads can be displayed. This includes, but is not limited to, adult content,
violent content, or any content that promotes discrimination or illegal
activities.
Review your apps for any inappropriate content, and if found, make necessary corrections. Once corrected, you can appeal the suspension, stating that the issues have been addressed. - Ad Behavior: Ad placements that disrupt or interfere with the
user experience are not allowed. This includes, for instance, placing ads too
close to buttons or having them pop up unexpectedly.
If you received a suspension for this reason, if possible, request more information and details from AdMob team, and then contact the AppsGeyser support team, providing screenshots of the communications with Google. - Privacy Violations: AdMob requires publishers to have a valid
privacy policy that fully discloses their app's data collection and usage.
Failure to provide this can result in account suspension.
If your account was suspended for privacy violations, review your privacy policy link in the Google Developer Console. For guidance on creating a privacy policy, refer to our guide here: Complete Privacy Policy section. If the privacy policy was the issue, fix it and then appeal the suspension with AdMob.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and there might be other reasons for AdMob suspending or removing an account. You can refer to AdMob's policy center for a comprehensive overview of their policies.
Remember, AppsGeyser does not control AdMob's decision-making process, and cannot reverse a suspension or removal.
Maintaining compliance with AdMob's policies is the best way to avoid account suspension.
